November Witch’s Almanac | The Beaver Moon & the Quieting Earth

As the final leaves drop and the air smells faintly of woodsmoke, we step into November, a month of transition and tending. The harvest has ended; the veil still hums softly from Samhain; and the Moon herself reminds us: slow down, gather warmth, and listen to what still glows within.

Full Beaver Moon | November 5, 2025
The Beaver Moon rises bright in Taurus, the sign of earth, stability, and sensual grounding. It’s called the Beaver Moon because this is the time when beavers build their dams and prepare for winter—just as we’re called to build our own cozy, sustainable nests.
This particular full moon is also a supermoon, appearing larger and closer to Earth. Expect heightened energy, vivid dreams, and a pull toward comfort, body, and home.
Magic to work:
grounding spells (GROUNDING Collection), money and resource magic (MANIFEST Collection), self-worth rituals (SYNERGY Collection), gratitude offerings, and sensory celebration.
Colors: moss green, copper, honey gold.
Crystals: smoky quartz, aventurine, hematite.
Herbs: oatstraw, rosemary, nettle, and thyme.
Ritual suggestion:
Light a candle in a bowl of soil or salt. Speak aloud what you’ve harvested this year—projects, healing, lessons—and what you wish to preserve for winter. Feel the earth energy anchoring you, reminding you that the body is sacred ground.
Waning Moon | November 6 – 19
As the light fades, so does the need to hold everything. The waning phase is your time to release, declutter, and rest.
Try this:
a cleansing ritual that blends practicality with magic. Clean your space, sweep your floors, and burn a pinch of rosemary or cedar. Write down what you’re ready to let go of—habits, fears, or old energy—and release it by burning, burying, or tossing it into running water.
Mantra:
“I make space for stillness. I release what has served its purpose.”
New Moon | November 20, 2025
Under the darkness of the New Moon, the world exhales. This is your invitation to plant seeds for what will grow through winter’s stillness. The New Moon is a portal for subtle beginnings, quiet magic, and deep trust.
Magic to work:
intention-setting, divination, shadow journaling, slow creative planning. (ORACLE Collection)
Colors:
deep teal, indigo, soft grey.
Crystals:
moonstone, black tourmaline, labradorite.
Herbs: mugwort, lavender, chamomile.
Ritual suggestion:
Brew a cup of tea (may I suggest The Oracle’s Cup). Sip in silence and write down one small intention—something rooted and real. Light a candle and whisper it into the flame. Let the smoke carry it into the unseen.
Waxing Moon | November 21 – 30
The Moon grows, and so do your intentions. Use this time to take steady, nourishing action. The magic of Taurus and late-autumn energy supports sustainability, patience, and long-term vision.
Do something simple that builds your foundation: tend your altar, reorganize your budget, plant garlic, or finish a small project that’s been waiting for attention. Magic loves momentum, no matter how small.
Season of the Beaver Moon
The Beaver Moon marks the true arrival of winter’s hush. The energy is earthy, sensual, and reflective—a perfect month for ritual baths, candlelight dinners, writing, and grounding practices.
Remember:
rest is sacred. The bees retreat to their hives, the soil sleeps, and the witch listens inward.
Affirmation:
“I honor the harvest of my year and strengthen the foundations that will carry me into the dark.”
Intention:
“I plant slow magic that will bloom in its own time.”
With warmth and witchy affection,
